Peggy Joyce (Hackleman) Crowley was born on September 11th, 1928 in Torrington, Wyoming to S. L. (Ted) and Madge (Hubert) Hackleman. Peggy was married to John Harold Crowley of Lawson, Missouri, who was the restaurant owner where she worked. They were married on September 7t, 1947. She and Harold had (3) Children; Joyce Elaine born April 19th, 1949, Anita born November 25th, 1950 (Died in Infancy), and Ronald Bruce born June 5th, 1953.
After living in Wyoming for a couple years, they moved to the family farm in Missouri, but after several years, they were drawn back to the West. In Casper, Wyoming, Peg and Harold partnered with is brother Joe in owning a large, busy, open-24-hour restaurant near Lakes Estes.
Even after retiring to Mesa, AZ, Peggy continued working as a waitress. She was asked by a restaurant owner who had been on vacation in Colorado to come work for them. She said she never grew tired of it and always had fun.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Madge Hackleman, her husband Harold, one daughter Anita, five brothers and to sisters.
Peggy is survived by her daughter Joyce of Mesa, Arizona and son Bruce (Cathy) Crowley of Estes Park, Colorado. She is also survived by one sister, Julia Prouty of Tampa, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Entombment will be Tuesday June 7th in the Desert Star Mausoleum at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona.
