Harlan E. Dean, 87, of Peoria, AZ (formerly of Lansing and Fowlerville, MI), passed away on February 19, 2025.
Harlan is survived by his wife Doris, children James (Kay) Dean of Antioch, CA; Larry (Nancy) Dean of Phoenix, AZ; Debbie (Terry) Starks of Freeland, MI; Laura (Bryan) Rogers of Willowbrook, IL and Ward (Shelly) Meldrum of Howell, MI.
Grandchildren: Brian (Lisa) Dean, Jessica (Andrew) Dean, Alicia Dean, Micaela Dean, Sarah Starks, Austin (Brittanie) Starks, Landon (Yemisi) Starks, Maeve Rogers, Matthew Rogers, Brendan Meldrum and Conor Meldrum.
Great-grandchildren: Carter, Miles, Whitney, Chase, Madelynn, Selena and Caden. Nieces: Susan (Duane) Herbert, Judy Dean and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Harlan was preceded in death by his parents Glen & Vance Dean, brother and sister-in-law Therlo & Jean Dean, daughter Cheryl Dean and nephew Robert Dean.
He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks and an avid golfer. He was retired from Michigan Farm Bureau where he was a Claims Adjuster for 30+ years. He was a 1956 graduate of Fowlerville High School. Harlan enjoyed his retirement initially in Michigan before relocating to Arizona.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Michigan.
Arrangements were cared for by Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery.
