Clifford Calvin Wagner was born August 7, 1924. He went to be with his Savior on November 28, 2021, Age 97 in Mesa, Arizona. Clifford (Cliff) was born in Kief, North Dakota and grew up living in various towns in South Dakota. Moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Clifford began working for Allis-Chalmers at the age of 18. In September 1945 he married his only sweetheart, Elaine Nelson and they, together with their 6-year-old son James (Jim), moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1952. Their family grew with the addition of two daughters Debra (Deb) and Karen. Cliff was a successful Purchasing Agent for Airesearch and worked there 30 years until his retirement.
Cliff was an avid bowler, enjoyed fly fishing, camping, loved the outdoors. A great jack-of-all-trades around the home and he enjoyed puttering on his cars, especially his Gran Torino. He didn’t miss many opportunities for a game of poker with family and friends. Preceded by his parents Henry and Lydia Wagner; brothers Raymond, John, Gerald and sister Adell. His wife, Elaine Wagner, son Jim Wagner grandson and Shane Garvin. Cliff is survived by two siblings, his brother Norman Wagner and sister Eunice Hoppe. His daughters Deb Pinch (husband Dave) and Karen Garvin (husband Danny); Daughter-In-Law Linda Wagner. Grandchildren Sarah Garvin, Breanne Evans, Derek Wagner and Joshua Garvin. Great-Grandchildren Annissa Garvin, Jaymie Garvin-Rede, Koby Garvin, Cameryn Evans and Elsa Evans.
Cliff will be celebrated at Mountain View Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 1:00pm. Graveside services only.
