"Imagine stepping into our cool, air-conditioned Bronze Room with thousands of books waiting just for you," said Gloria Moreno, manager of the San Tan Valley Library. "Take your time browsing and visit our special Children’s Corner, perfect for young readers to discover new adventures in books."

It's another extreme heat warning weekend so what better way to escape the elements than to get lost in a good book?

Book lovers and bargain hunters won't want to miss the Summer Sizzle Used Book Sale at the San Tan Valley Library from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20.

Hosted by Friends of the San Tan Valley Library, a group of volunteers dedicated to literacy and community support, is hosting this event tomorrow at the San Tan Valley Library's Bronze Room, located at 31505 N. Schnepf Road.

Come explore a huge selection of gently-used books covering every genre—like stories, facts, kids' favorites, movies, music, and more. Prices are hot, and every purchase helps the local library’s programs. Plus, you get an extra 10% off your total at the Summer Sizzle Used Book Sale.

And that’s not all, according to San Tan Valley resident and volunteer Bridgette Crosby, with Military Moms in Queen Creek/San Tan Valley, you can also support our United States Troops by choosing a book or two for Uncle Sam’s donation box.

"Military Moms in Queen Creek and San Tan Valley will send these books in care packages this fall to spread happiness through reading," explained Crosby.

In addition, you will be able to meet the Pinal County Master Gardeners at this event, too. They will be there to talk about gardening and the "Free Seed Library."

"Don’t miss the Summer Sizzle Used Book Sale! Bring your friends, explore our awesome collection, and support our community and troops. It’s a book lover’s paradise—plus, if you become a member of Friends of the San Tan Valley Library, you will receive an extra 20% off," said Rosalie Turner, president of Friends of the San Tan Valley Library. "We take cash, Zelle and credit cards. Membership in Friends of the San Tan Valley Library is only $10 per year."

She added that they also need volunteers for set up, helping customers and clean up tomorrow.

"We’re thankful for support from Friends of the Library, Military Moms in Queen Creek/San Tan Valley, and Rural Metro. This event celebrates community spirit, teamwork, and the joy of reading,” added Moreno.
