The happy hour with a wild side is back today, Nov. 18, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Roars & Pours is back at the Phoenix Zoo after an 18-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The happy hour with a wild side is back today, Nov. 18, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Guests 21 and older can sip and stroll select zoo trails and enjoy a sneak peek of ZooLights while enjoying craft brews, wine and food. Plus, animal encounters, yard games including the zoo’s famous “Chicken Poop BINGO,” entertainment and more. Animals that will be out for viewing include: elephant, rhinos, tigers, cheetahs, flamingos, javelinas, otter, zebra, African painted dogs, orangutans and more.

  • Enjoy happy hour pricing on the zoo’s Safari Cruiser and Camel Rides for $4 each.
  • Watch the zoo’s animal ambassadors strut their stuff at the Doornbos Amphitheater at 6:45 and 7:45 p.m.
  • Meet one of the zoo’s equine residents and talk with keepers at the Equine Center.
  • Yard games: Beer Pong, Cornhole, Tic Tac Toe, Ladder Toss, Connect Four.
  • Dogfish Head, Lone River Ranch Water and more beverages for sale and sample.
  • Food available for purchase from Lancer Hospitality.
