Queen Creek Sun Times continues to grow with addition of new reporters

Cammie Galindo is originally from New Jersey and moved to Queen Creek with her family in 2005 when it was still just a small farming community with one gas station and a small cafe.

We launched QueenCreekSunTimes.com, your hyper-local news website dedicated to sharing the news and community information that matters most in the Queen Creek area, in September 2021.

Since that time, we've grown our free daily email newsletter with the headlines of the day delivered right to reader inboxes and our very active Facebook page. In addition, our local digital advertising opportunities to local businesses has been a continued success.

Recently, our community news team has grown by two with the introduction of newest reporters Cammie Galindo and Lauren Wong.

Originally from New Jersey, Galindo moved to Queen Creek with her family in 2005 when it was still just a small farming community with one gas station and a small cafe. She graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2010 and has written on and off for a variety of online publications since. She currently lives on the border of San Tan Valley and Queen Creek with her three sons and husband of eight years. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, listening to podcasts and exploring all the new stores and businesses that make Queen Creek such a great place to live.

Born and raised outside of Chicago, Wong moved to Phoenix after earning her bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in photography from the University of Tampa. She also earned a Certificate of International Studies, studying abroad in both Iceland and Cuba. Joining O'Rourke Media Group as a reporter, she's been having fun sharing local news and hidden gems with our readers from both our Queen Creek Sun Times and CITYSunTimes publications.

We encourage the Queen Creek community to continue to send us their news and photos at [email protected]. We look forward to continuing being your go-to community news source.
