Queen Creek High School is set to bring the captivating musical Hadestown to the stage this April, retelling the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, while also delving into the stories of Hades and Persephone.

The production explores themes of love, loss, and hope, and has garnered attention for its unique format and powerful storytelling.

This year marks the first time high schools have been granted the rights to perform Hadestown, a Broadway hit that is currently touring nationwide. Rehearsals are already underway, with the cast and crew working tirelessly to bring this acclaimed musical to life.

What makes Hadestown especially unique is that it is entirely sung-through, meaning there is no spoken dialogue throughout the performance. Students will be on stage nearly the entire time, delivering a fully immersive experience.

The Queen Creek High School production will be directed by Kyle Spitler, who leads the nationally award-winning troupe. The show promises to take audiences on an unforgettable journey with its stunning music and emotional storytelling.

Hadestown will be performed on April 3, 4, and 5 at Queen Creek High School, located at 22149 E. Ocotillo Road.
