Queen Creek Council celebrates the 2025 State of the Town

Queen Creek’s 2025 State of the Town was presented on Feb. 25 in partnership with the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce. The Town Council and Chamber President shared a number of the community’s accomplishments.

Queen Creek’s 2025 State of the Town was presented on Feb. 25 in partnership with the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce. The Town Council and Chamber President shared a number of the community’s accomplishments that align with the Town’s Corporate Strategic Plan, in addition to hearing from members of the Mayor’s Teen Advisory Committee.

Highlights of the milestones achieved over the past year include:

Safe Community:

  • QCPD initiated or responded to more than 40,000 calls for service, a 25% increase from 2023, including a 56% increase in traffic-related enforcement and a 74% increase in crime prevention activity.
  • The Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department launched the Community 411 program, where trained volunteers check smoke alarms and car seats.

Effective Government:

  • Lowering the Town’s primary property tax rate for existing residents with an annual cumulative savings to taxpayers of $1.7 million.
  • Volunteers contributed more than 94,000 hours.
  • Kim Nishihara was recognized as the “Outstanding Volunteer Administrator” by the National Association of Volunteer Program Leaders in Government.

Secure Future:

  • The lake at Frontier Family Park was completed, using recovered water for park landscaping instead of potable water.
  • Diverted more than 6 tons of hazardous materials from households and the landfill and nearly 74 tons of recyclable materials– both increases from the previous year.

Superior Infrastructure:

  • Completed five roadway improvement projects:
    • Ocotillo from Hawes to Sossaman
    • Meridian at the Queen Creek intersection (in conjunction with Pinal County)
    • Chandler Heights from Power to Recker
    • Power from Brooks Farm to Chandler Heights
    • Downtown core connectors, connecting Ellsworth Road to Ellsworth Loop Road
  • Recognized by the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry as the 2024 Best City for Business for our work to attract businesses.

Quality Lifestyle:

  • Celebrated the opening of Frontier Family Park, the Town’s 85-acre park located at Signal Butte and Queen Creek Road.
  • With events like Roots N Boots Rodeo, PBR Bull Riding, and Vintage & Vino, Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre hosted more than 216,000 people and over 13,000 horses.
