Pan de Vida Foundation hosts 'Affordable CHRISTmas' for low income families

"The National Honor Society group from American Leadership Academy - Queen Creek High School volunteered and assisted by acting as personal shoppers and showing them around as well as offering them free kindness kits, which included hygiene products and messages of encouragement that they put together," said Kelly Gloria, Pan de Vida volunteer and project manager.

The Pan de Vida Foundation hosted its "Affordable CHRISTmas" event last weekend, offering low income families an opportunity to shop for their children's Christmas gifts for just $5 an item with a limit of two items per child.

Pan de Vida Foundation, which has been operating in the Queen Creek and San Tan Valley area since 2003, is a family-run foundation. Its mission is to provide help to families and those in need while reconnecting the community at the same time, a characteristic that’s been lost in the rapid expansion of the Valley. It's a non-profit organization, meaning all its money and resources come from donations, and all events that are put on are organized by volunteers.
