National Senior Pro Rodeo Finals return to Wild Horse Pass in Chandler Oct. 18-20

The National Senior Pro Rodeo is back at the Buck-N Rodeo Grounds at Wild Horse Pass for the Senior National Finals Rodeo. Located at 5244 S. 48th St. next to the legendary Rawhide Western Town, the Senior Pro Rodeo will be held on Oct. 18-20 by the National Senior Pro Rodeo Association for its final event of 2024.

Seasoned cowboys and cowgirls from Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Nebraska, Missouri, Utah, Idaho, California, Kansas, South Dakota, Montana, North Carolina and Alberta Canada have been competing at rodeos across the western U.S. The best of these competitors will be competing at this final stage at Wild Horse Pass. Each day of the Senior Pro Rodeo features full Rough Stock events that include Saddle Bronc, Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Tie Down Roping, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping and of course the fan favorite, Bull Riding. Food trucks and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available to purchase on site.

“This event showcases the best seasoned cowboys and cowgirls across the country,” said Dirt Terrell, executive director of the National Senior Pro Rodeo Association. “The Senior National Finals Rodeo is a celebration of the rich heritage of rodeo, where the competitors’ stories are as important as the events themselves. It’s a testament to the enduring spirit of the Wild West, showcasing that passion for the rodeo doesn’t diminish with age. We look forward to seeing who comes out on top in all these competitions!”

On Oct. 18 doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the rodeo will start at 6:30 p.m. On Oct. 19 doors will open at 2:30 p.m., and the rodeo will start at 3:30 p.m. On Oct. 20, doors will open at 1 p.m., and the rodeo will start at 2 p.m.
