Cinco de Mayo celebrations continue this weekend at Bell Bank Park

Activities will include pinatas and lawn games, as well as a Sombrero Flip Chip Game that will feature opportunities to win tickets and merchandise to the Arizona Taco Festival that will be at Bell Bank Park Nov. 12-13.

The Cinco de Mayo celebrations continue this weekend at Bell Bank Park, 1 Legacy Drive in Mesa, near Queen Creek.

First, the Cinco de 5k will be from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 7 at the park. This is a family-friendly 5k and 1.25 walk for participants of all ages. Terrain will include pavement, dirt, grass, sidewalks, and turf and encompass all of the park. There will be T-shirts and medals for all participants, runners 21-plus will receive a coupon for a free beer or seltzer. This event is part of the Legacy 5K Series that takes place every month at Bell Bank Park.

Then, Cinco Mas Dos Fiesta will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 at the park. This will be a fiesta filled weekend of food, fun and live music. Country artist Harry Luge and special guest Nick Moody will perform live on the Tixr Yard stage, and mariachi bands will perform on the Miller Lite Way stage.
