Christmas at Schnepf Farms opens nightly Dec. 15-24; new ice skates for rental this year at rink

Experience a winter wonderland like no other with seasonal food, fun and festivities for the whole family. Hop on a hayride to visit Rudolph or journey through Santa’s magic workshop. Whatever you choose, it’s all happening down on Schnepf Farms.

From skating on a real ice rink or feeding reindeer in the snow to making toys in Santa's workshop or enjoying a bonfire, Christmas at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek is in full swing right now and starting tomorrow, Dec. 15, they will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. every night through Dec. 24.

"We're making our fabulous outdoor ice skating rink available to you, your family and friends outside of our Christmas at Schnepf Farms event this season," said Carrie Schnepf, adding that they have brand new ice skates to rent this year.

Ice skating is always available Mondays through Wednesdays from 4 to 10 p.m. and Thursdays through Sundays from noon to 10 p.m. A one-hour session on the ice with skate rental included costs $18 per person and a one-hour session on the ice without skate rental (bringing your own skates) costs $12 per person. During the Christmas event from 5 to 10 p.m., 15 minutes of skate time is included with your admission ticket, available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

"We've partnered with World of Illumination for the train portion of our Christmas show," said Mark Schnepf. "The displays have to be checked every night and we're always fixing something during the day. We have a herd of deer that we magically change to reindeer that the kids love to feed. The kids can also paint and purchase a toy in Santa's workshop and of course, everyone enjoys the food court."

"The hayride out to feed the reindeer includes snow and we have the world's largest inflatable obstacle course," Schnepf added.

There’s more magic around every corner with glow-in-the-dark mini golf, bonfire s’mores and visits with Santa Claus himself. Mrs. Claus is helping patrons with cookie decorating, the Christmas carousel and holiday shopping available has been a hit and families are enjoying all the holiday treats.
