Christmas at Schnepf Farms puts locals in the holiday spirit

"We have only two and a half weeks to flip the farm from Halloween to Christmas so it's a big undertaking," said Mark Schnepf. "We partnered with World of Illumination for the train portion of our Christmas show. The displays have to be checked every night and we're always fixing something during the day. We have a herd of deer that we magically change to reindeer that the kids love to feed. The kids can also paint and purchase a toy in Santa's workshop."

From picking out that perfect Christmas tree to skating on a real ice rink or feeding reindeer in the snow to making toys in Santa's workshop, Christmas at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek is in full swing right now from 5:30 to 10 p.m. every night through Dec. 31.

While everyone is getting festive on the farm, Christmas trees are still available from Sturm’s Berry Farm of Oregon, but they're saying this may be the last week. The tree lot is located right when you enter Schnepf Farms off Rittenhouse Road.

We have a herd of deer that we magically change to reindeer that the kids love to feed. The kids can also paint and purchase a toy in Santa's workshop and of course, everyone enjoys the food court."

Experience a winter wonderland like no other with seasonal food, fun and festivities for the whole family. Catch a ride on the World of Illumination Express, hop on a hayride to visit Rudolph or journey through Santa’s magic workshop. Whatever you choose, it’s all happening right on Schnepf Farms.

"The hayride out to feed the reindeer includes snow and we have the world's largest inflatable obstacle course," Schnepf said.

Ice skating on the farm's "real ice" rink is very popular, according to Schnepf. Skating hours are from noon to 10 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays and from 4 to 10 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays. Schnepf said you just pay to skate: $15 includes skates, $10 if you bring your own skates. Friday nights are date night after 4 p.m. for $28 per couple and includes two hot chocolates. Monday nights are family night two for one skating.

"There are bonfires to enjoy, we have hot dogs to roast, hot chocolate and mini cider donuts coming soon," Schnepf said. "You must be 4 years old to skate and the rink is available to rent out for hockey before or after public skating hours."

There’s more magic around every corner with glow-in-the-dark mini golf, bonfire s’mores and visits with Santa Claus himself. Mrs. Claus is helping patrons with cookie decorating, the Christmas carousel and holiday shopping available has been a hit and families are enjoying all the holiday treats.

Ticket prices vary and can be purchased here.

Schnepf Farms is located at 24810 S. Rittenhouse Road.
