Tempe-based Spinato’s Pizzeria & Family Kitchen and Chandler-based State Forty Eight are partnering to support local entrepreneurs with a unique collaboration that centers around the new, delicious “State Forty Eight Pizza.” A fun, celebratory launch party will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wed., April 9 at Spinato’s Gilbert restaurant at 3150 E. Ray Rd., Suite 128 at the Epicenter at Agritopia. The festive party will feature live music from Haley Green, Arizona trivia for prizes, raffles, and other fun surprises. Admission is free, but reservations are suggested.

Running through May 31 at all six Spinato’s locations, the innovative campaign celebrates community, creativity, and the entrepreneurial spirit that makes our state unique. Guests can purchase pizza, margaritas, T-shirts and stickers with a portion of proceeds helping the State Forty Eight Foundation, which empowers local entrepreneurs.

Pizza features Hayden Flour Mills Flour

The exclusive State Forty Eight Pizza blends Spinato’s signature handcrafted flavors with bold Southwestern flair. This zesty Southwest Margarita pizza is created with olive oil, mozzarella, Pico de Gallo, feta, lime crema, cotija, and cilantro. The special pizza is being paired with The Phoenix, an orange blossom margarita that is a nod to the historic citrus groves that once thrived in the Valley. The bright, citrusy notes cut through the richness of the pizza’s feta, bringing a delicate sweetness that perfectly complements every bite.

The State Forty Eight Pizza also marks the first time Spinato’s is offering a specialty pizza created with Hayden Flour Mills flour. Late last year, Spinato’s switched to using Hayden Flour Mills flour for all its pizzas. The decision was based on a desire to offer healthier ingredients while also supporting one of Arizona’s oldest companies.

Guests will also have an opportunity to purchase a special State Forty Eight/Spinato’s T-shirt that was designed to honor a love for bold flavors, local heritage, and the spirit of the Southwest. Available for $30, while supplies last, the T-shirt captures the essence of Arizona’s breathtaking landscape while also paying tribute to Hayden Flour Mills, a staple in our community.

“We are big fans of State Forty Eight and we jumped at the chance to collaborate with them on a pizza to raise funds for their foundation,” said Anthony Spinato, CEO of Spinato’s Pizzeria & Family Kitchen. “Mike Spangenberg and his State Forty Eight team do tremendous work supporting small businesses and startups. We admire their innovation and commitment to strengthening our community, and we’re excited that our guests can help support their efforts as well.”

Mike Spangenberg, CEO and co-founder of State Forty Eight and Chairman of the Board for the State Forty Eight Foundation, said he is grateful for the chance to collaborate with Spinato’s to support small businesses.

“Arizona is full of incredible, talented entrepreneurs with diverse business challenges. Our goal is to lift them up with support and guidance. Ultimately, we want to build a thriving ecosystem of local businesses committed to creating a stronger economy for all who call Arizona home,” Spangenberg said.

Prices for the State Forty Eight Pizza are: $18.25 (small); $24.25 (medium), and $30.25 (large). The Phoenix Margarita is $16. Special pricing packages are also available that include the pizza, margaritas, stickers, and the special collaborative T-shirt.
