Gloria Jean Borasky

Gloria Jean Borasky, born December 26, 1949, died November 8, 2024.

Gloria was born in San Diego, California to Marion Wagner and Hank Wagner. She was raised in California where she went to school and was known as “spitfire” a feisty young woman that didn’t take gruff from anyone and would later marry Dominick Lee DiCamillo the second and finally moved to Arizona where she started her family and raised her children.

Gloria was married four times but the fourth time she said she finally got it right. She was married to Dan Borasky where she had spent the later part of her life starting a fire protection company that would eventually bring not only her son in-law but her children and her grand children into the business. She and Dan finally retired and moved to New York and there she lost her husband Dan to lung cancer. Gloria returned home to Arizona where she discovered she also had lung cancer and she fought it like no one else. The cancer had gone away but unfortunately the side effects caused far too much damage and she just could not recover.

Gloria enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting skiing, riding motorcycles, boating and making ceramic. She had a western flair and loved to country western dance. She was witty goofy had zero filter and held back no punches when it came to conversations. One of the funniest things about Gloria was that she loved her little quotes. She would say things such as: "I don’t give a rats ass" or "I’ve been up and down that road" or "don’t blow smoke up my ass" or "you’ve got more excuses than Carter’s got liver pills." She was full of the comebacks, but what was funniest of all is that she could never remember your name, she would always mix people up. And don’t forget you had to know how to speak Gloria. She had her own language. She liked to make up her own words like (Walmarks). It was so funny.  Those are the kinds of things that we will never forget.

Gloria is survived by three children, Gloriana, Dominick and Charlie; five sisters Jackie, Penny, Lori, Polly, Henry; one brother Jimmy; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gloria was proceeded in death by her son Dewayne DiCamillo and her husband Dan Borasky. Gloria left her life on November 8, 2024 peacefully at her home but her heavenly father was there to greet her in heaven with his arms wide open.

A Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2024 with a funeral service to follow at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 7900 E. Main Street, in Mesa, AZ.
