Gayle Ann Hall Neher

Gayle Ann Hall Neher passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025 in her home in Queen Creek, Arizona. She was 82 years old.

Gayle was born July 30, 1942 in Rupert, Idaho to Herman and Jenna Vee Hall. Gayle grew up on a farm in Jerome, Idaho and later graduated with a BA Degree from Brigham Young University. After college she married her high school sweetheart, Galen Harl Neher in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Gayle spent most of her life as a stay-at-home mom, while Galen’s studies and career took them to Oregon, Southern California, Kansas and New Jersey before settling in Sunnyvale, CA for 24 years. Shortly before retiring they moved to Arizona in 2001 to be closer to their parents. Together Galen and Gayle traveled all over the world for business and pleasure, including trips to Germany, Russia, Argentina, Tahiti and the Philippines. Her favorite trips were to the British Isles where so many of her ancestors came from. Towards the end of Galen’s career, she served as his note taker and scribe when his Parkinson’s Disease became too debilitating.

Gayle was a faithful and lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was an accomplished cook, seamstress and homemaker. One of the ways that she demonstrated her love of family was her devotion to Genealogy and Family History work. Over her life she compiled many personal histories of her ancestors and often shared their stories with her family. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and was a great example of meekness, charity and kindness.

She is survived by her brother Ed (Jean), sons Gregory H. (Isabel), Eric M. (Remy), Douglas E., daughter Jennifer K. Chasey, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 15 at the LDS chapel in Queen Creek.

Arrangements were cared for by San Tan Mountain Funeral Home.
