Things to do: SRP to bring tons of snow to Phoenix Zoo animals July 19, offers admission discounts

will take place on Friday, July 19 from 7 to 11 a.m. This year, SRP customers can receive a $10 discount on zoo admission on Fridays and Saturdays now until Sept. 6.

SRP’s Summer of Savings will bring a refreshing experience to Phoenix Zoo animals with more than 10 tons of snow spread throughout various animal habitats this Friday morning.

Guests will be able to stroll through the zoo’s trails and encounter animals, from tigers and cheetahs to primates and rhinos, exploring the snow or savoring cool treats.

Zoo guests can also cool off with a free ice cream from Mister Softee between 9 and 11 a.m. at the zoo entrance while supplies last. 

This year, SRP customers can receive a $10 discount on zoo admission on Fridays and Saturdays now until Sept. 6.

In addition, the SRP team will be on site to offer energy efficiency tips and information, and share entry codes for their Summer of Savings Giveaway.

The Phoenix Zoo is located at 455 N. Galvin Parkway in Phoenix.
