The world’s largest Arabian horse show is set to celebrate its 70th annual event at WestWorld of Scottsdale from Feb. 13-23. Hosted by the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona (AHAA), the show will feature more than 2,100 horses competing for over $1 million in prize money.
The event will include a variety of competitions showcasing the elegance, versatility, and grace of Arabian horses, as well as a shopping expo, fine art exhibits, and interactive experiences for visitors of all ages.
“This show is a special celebration of the people and horses who have made this event a tradition here in Scottsdale,” said Melissa Schalles, executive director of the AHAA. “Whether you’re a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, there’s something for everyone.”
As part of the milestone celebration, the AHAA is encouraging past attendees to share photos and videos from previous shows. Submissions can be sent to [email protected].
The immersive experience, which allows visitors to learn about horses, ride, dress up, and take pictures, will be included in the event ticket. The event aims to provide a hands-on introduction to the world of horses.
Alongside the horse competitions, the shopping expo will feature over 300 vendors selling arts, crafts, clothing, jewelry, and other unique products.
The event will also commemorate National Arabian Horse Day on February 19 with special activities, and it will offer several community-focused events. Military personnel and their families can attend for free on Military Appreciation Day, February 18, and families can enjoy free admission starting at 4:30 p.m. on Family Night, February 21.
Tickets are available at the gate and through the event website, scottsdaleshow.com/tickets. General admission is $15, with discounts for seniors and free entry for children under 17. A special 11-day pass is available for $75.
The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show will also support several charities, including the Arabian Horsemen’s Distress Fund, Make-A-Wish Arizona, and Horses Help Therapeutic Riding.
