Things to do: Scarizona Scaregrounds gears up for Halloween

Reimagined with new frights to delight, “Mayhem in the Madness” and “Startled Darkness” are designed to spook even the bravest of souls.

Scarizona Scaregrounds, a beloved Valley Halloween destination, is set to welcome back locals for its annual fright-filled festivities.

Opening on Friday, Oct. 4, and running through Halloween, Scarizona features haunted attractions designed for thrill-seekers aged 12 and up. Reimagined with new frights to delight, “Mayhem in the Madness” and “Startled Darkness” are designed to spook even the bravest of souls.

All events are held at Scarizona Scaregrounds, located at 1901 N. Alma School Road in Mesa. Admission for the haunted house attractions starts at $24.95 per person. Tickets can be purchased online at scarizona.com as well as at the gate.

Scarizona Scaregrounds is hosted at the Thompson Event Center, conveniently located near Loops 101 and 202 in Mesa. The venue hosts multiple events throughout the year. Following Scarizona, Valley families can look forward to the return of the Arizona Lights in the Night holiday-themed drive-thru light show, set to begin in late November and continue through the holiday season.
