VIVO Development Partners has broken ground on the dual-branded Tempo by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton at Gallery Park in Mesa. The groundbreaking ceremony, held on December 5, marked a significant milestone in the realization of Gallery Park, an emerging mixed-use destination in the heart of Mesa’s Gateway Employment Area.
The groundbreaking event was notably commemorated by Mesa District 6 Councilmember Scott Somers, executives from VIVO Development Partners, Corey Mitchell, Senior Director of Development for Hilton, and other key members of the development, design and construction team. Together, they celebrated the launch of a project set to redefine the hospitality experience in the Southeast Valley.
“Today marks an important step in furthering the mixed-use vision for Gallery Park,” said Devan Wastchak, Partner at VIVO Development Partners. “The groundbreaking of Tempo and Homewood Suites by Hilton exemplifies our commitment to creating a dynamic, walkable destination that combines exceptional hospitality, dining and community spaces in one of the strongest growth districts in the Phoenix metro.”
"We're excited to welcome the first Tempo by Hilton in the region," said Mesa Mayor John Giles. "This is a welcome addition to Gallery Park that will serve southeast Mesa as it continues to attract visitors, businesses and families."
The Tempo by Hilton contemporary lifestyle brand makes its Phoenix-metro debut as part of this dual-branded hotel, which will include a total of 174 rooms spread across four stories. Tempo by Hilton is designed for the modern traveler, offering 97 upscale lifestyle rooms with amenities including a resort-style pool with cabanas, an event lawn, private event spaces and indoor and outdoor fitness areas. Homewood Suites by Hilton will feature 77 extended-stay suites tailored for both business and leisure guests. Guests of the hotel and area residents also will enjoy dining at an independently branded, full-service restaurant and bar offering an elevated casual dining experience with a New American menu.
The dual-branded Hilton hotel is a key component of Gallery Park, a +1-million-square-foot mixed-use walkable village that will feature Class ‘A’ office space, high-end retail and restaurants, 305 luxury apartments, and a planned food hall and co-working venue overlooking The Park, an outdoor, family-friendly community gathering space. Completed and open for business tenants include Eggstasy, In-N-Out Burger, MOD Pizza, Panera Bread, Black Rifle Coffee, Raising Canes, Mountain America Credit Union and Spencer’s TV & Appliance, with additional announcements coming soon.
“Gallery Park is demonstrating how the city and developers can work together to create a better project,” said Councilmember Scott Somers. “It represents a move toward Mesa’s vision to create spaces where people can work, live, and thrive, bringing more quality offerings to our community.”
