On Sunday, Oct. 13, Macayo’s Mexican Food is pleased to present its Second Annual Cultura event that honors and celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month.
In recognition, Macayo’s locations around the Valley, including the Queen Creek location, are offering an array of family friendly experiences, authentic and traditional performances, and specials that benefit a good cause, including:
Queen Creek location (22460 E. Ocotillo Road):
- Happy Hour: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Tequila truck and margarita samples hosted by Don Julio: 1-5 p.m.
- Mariachi Mexico Nuevo: 1-2:30 p.m.
- Face painting: 2-4 p.m.
- Pinata smash: 5-6 p.m.
- Ballet Folklorico: 6-7 p.m.
Proceeds from Macayo’s Cultura benefit the brand’s nonprofit partner, Xico, including 10% of dine-in food sales, $1 of every Don Julio Margarita sold and .25 cents of every Dos XX beer sold on this day. Founded in 1975, Xico is one of the oldest ethnic arts organizations in the U.S. Dedicated to preserving the heritage and culture of Latino and indigenous people, Xico is a leading organization that promotes these cultures through art and community engagement.
