Kick off the fall season by joining PS I Love AZ at their third Fall Festival. Browse among over 200 vendors in the comfort of the AC at the Arizona Athletic Grounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Guests can look forward to everything from a candle making station, cookie decorating station, ax throwing, face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, a bubble truck and more. There will be a bar for guests to sip and shop, a hat bar to make a personalized cowboy hat, trucker hat or cross body bag, permanent jewelry and live music from local talent.
“Right when you walk in the door you’ve got the kid zone and the photo booth,” Peyton Ruggles, founder and owner of PS I Love AZ, said. “There’s a really elaborate, free photo booth and then you’ve got the caricature artists and then rows and rows of small businesses.”
Born and raised in Arizona, Ruggles passion lies in bringing the community together through events while also supporting our local, small businesses.
“One of the key components when I started PS I Love AZ is that I wanted to create a scenario where it’s a win, win, win. It’s a win for me, a win for the small business and a win for the customer,” Ruggles said. “It’s about creating that perfect storm where the customer comes in and has a great time with their friends and family, it gives them something to do and then also it also helps support these small businesses so they can continue to grow and feed their families.”
There’s something for everyone to enjoy at the festival. Whether you’re looking to buy something new for yourself, a friend or your home, a place to let your kids run around and burn off some energy or just want to take advantage of all the activities, the Fall Fest is for you.
“I love working with all of these amazing people, seeing what they love to do and being a part of helping them grow their businesses while also bringing events to the community,” Ruggles said. “This economy has been really tough on small businesses and I’ve seen a lot of people unfortunately go out of business this year, so it’s just crucial that when people are able to, they come out and support these local businesses. Mom and pop shops are what I like to call it.”
Tickets for the event are $5 plus taxes and fees and free for children 10 and under. Parking is an additional $5. Tickets can be purchased on Arizona Athletic Grounds website or through PS I Love AZ’s Facebook page.
“Small businesses are such a key component to everything that we do,” Ruggles said. “We need to continue to support them. Behind every small business there's a family. It’s so important to be able to help them feed their family.”
