Celebrate the diverse music of Southeast Asia with a series of traditional dances, live performances, instrument explorations and more for the whole family this weekend at the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM).
Experience Southeast Asia on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The special exhibit is included with paid museum admission and is free for members.

Instrument exploration of the Gamelan Ensemble.

Gallery tour of Southeast Asia led by our curator for Asia and Oceania, Eddie Chia-Hao Hsu.

Pop-up performances of the đàn tranh plucked zither, a popular traditional instrument of Vietnam, and Rojak Jam’s arrangements of Malaysian traditional folk songs.
