Things to do: Arizona Science Center to host teen Frankenstein Lab next week

Participating teens will learn valuable life skills along the way, including the components of building a budget, time management, team work and communication skills.

Beginning Monday, July 22, the Arizona Science Center is set to host Frankenstein Lab, a five-day workshop for teens in grades 7-12. 

Local teens will partake in a workshop all about the science behind Frankenstein in the full-day workshops with lunch provided. This is a chance for teens to build automatons and moving mechanical devices and they will discover how to use 3D printers, laser cutters and woodworking tools.

Participating teens will learn valuable life skills along the way, including the components of building a budget, time management, team work and communication skills.

At the end of the five days, each team will bring creations to life for judges, with a chance to win exciting prizes. For more information, visit azscience.org/learn/students/teens.

The Arizona Science Center is located in downtown Phoenix, at 600 E. Washington St. They are open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
