Halloween is an exciting holiday for the family to dress up and eat candy. But there are simple precautions to take to ensure pet safety with all that chocolate lying around.
Arizona Animal Welfare League wants to offer simple tips on keeping dogs and cats safe during Halloween.
These tips include:
- Keeping chocolate out of reach.
- Knowing which table scraps are toxic for pets.
- Holiday pet costumes – be sure these aren’t hindering the animal’s sight or movement.
- Keep your pet inside during Halloween and away from visitors.
- Secure all pets inside as the noises can spook your pet.
And be sure you keep that pumpkin carving kit away from your animals! Too much pumpkin is harmful to pets.
