Banner Children's at Desert in Mesa has announced that nine-time Grammy nominated saxophonist Dave Koz will be performing a special Christmas concert for pediatric patients on Thursday, Dec. 14.
The nonprofit Starlight Children’s Foundation in collaboration with its longtime partner Koz, is creating this unique opportunity to bring joy and smiles to the pediatric patients at Banner Children's at Desert.
"We are thrilled to have Dave Koz perform for our pediatric patients," said Sue Eaton, associate director of child life at Banner Children's at Desert. "We hope this special concert will create lasting memories for the children during the holiday season."
Koz has delivered happiness with Starlight Children’s Foundation for more than 30 years. Along with the performance, Koz will also be leaving a lasting impact on the hospital through the donation of a Starlight Gaming Station. The Starlight Gaming program provides a fun distraction for kids during their time at the hospital. Through the Dave Koz auction this year, Koz raised funds to distribute programs at several children’s hospitals across his Christmas tour, including Banner Children’s at Desert.
The concert will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 at Banner Children's at Desert, located at 1400 S. Dobson Road, at Sophie’s Place, located on the first floor of the Mesa hospital.
