Banner Ironwood Medical Center (BIMC) recently named Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department’s (QCFMD) Ryan Denning as the 2024 Paramedic of the Year. The recognition honors Ryan for his leadership, service and dedication to the health and safety of the community.

“Ryan has made substantial contributions to our EMS division,” said QCFMD Chief Vance Gray. “Last year, we expanded our emergency transportation services, and Ryan has been instrumental. He has served as an instructor for various certifications, played a pivotal role in onboarding both suppression and ETS personnel, and continues to lead quarterly training sessions.”

Ryan is currently an engineer with QCFMD. He started with the organization in 2018 when he graduated the joint fire academy class of 18-2. In 2023, he was promoted to engineer and currently serves as the engineer for engine 413.
