Town of Queen Creek residents are invited to participate in the QC Recycles drive-through drop-off event on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Field Operations Facility, located at 19715 S. 220th Street, just north of Queen Creek Road.
The event is free for residents, but registration is required and closes on Monday, Feb. 3. Residents can register online at QueenCreekAZ.gov/RecycleEvents. Those who register by the deadline will receive a Fast Pass via email 48 hours before the event, allowing for expedited drop-off.
Accepted Items Participants can drop off a variety of items, including:
- Appliances: Refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, washers, and dryers.
- Electronics: Computers, hard drives, keyboards, power cords, monitors, televisions, and VCRs.
- Metals: Steel, copper, and aluminum.
- Tires: A maximum of four tires per vehicle, with rims removed. Commercial tires are not accepted.
- Paint: Latex or water-based paint in original containers not exceeding five gallons.
- Paper for shredding: Up to five boxes per vehicle (folders, binder clips, and other metal or plastic objects must be removed).
- Prescription drugs: In partnership with the Queen Creek Police Department, residents can safely dispose of unused, unwanted, and expired medications. Liquids, needles, and inhalers are not accepted.
- Textiles and small furniture: Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona will accept gently used clothing, linens, shoes, artwork, books, sporting goods, toys, musical instruments, and small furniture. Large furniture and mattresses are not accepted.
Prohibited Items The following items will not be accepted at the event:
- Household hazardous waste (HHW), such as oils, oil-based paints, aerosols, chemicals, and batteries (residents can request a free HHW disposal voucher at QueenCreekAZ.gov/HHW).
- Air conditioners.
- Mattresses.
- Construction materials.
- Items from commercial businesses.
Event Guidelines
All items for disposal must be placed in the vehicle trunk or truck bed. The Town and its partners are not responsible for personal belongings left in vehicles.
For curbside recyclables such as aluminum cans, plastic water bottles, and broken-down cardboard boxes, residents can visit the QC Recycling Center on Ellsworth Road, just north of Crewse Lane.
