Starting this weekend, volunteers and members can join the Queen Creek Botanical Gardens for U-Pick Saturdays from 7 to 9 a.m.
Tomorrow, July 9, the following items will be available for harvest:
- Arugula
- Armenian Striped Cucumbers
- Patty Pan Squash
- Zucchini
- Green Beans
They encourage all participants to come equipped with their own baskets and/or bags, gloves, sun protection and water.
Note that now through Oct. 3 the Queen Creek Botanical Gardens is closed to visitors but open to volunteers as they work on "summer beautification." With the new addition of the restaurant and marketplace, they will be closed for summer maintenance to beautify, maintain and replenish. Public visiting hours will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 4.
Although they will be closed to visitors, you can take advantage of the fun volunteer opportunities offered, like the U-pick on Saturdays starting July 9 and Saturday markets will begin in August.
