Intel employees donate 800 gifts to Valley children, seniors

“It is an Intel value to be an asset to our communities worldwide and I am extremely proud of our employees in Arizona for their generosity in dedicating their own resources and time to support the Holiday Donation Drive,” said Liz Shipley, Intel Arizona public affairs director. “We would also like to thank the non-profits for giving us an opportunity to bring cheer to the lives of our people in the community and wish that everyone has a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year.”

The Intel Corporation Arizona employees organized a virtual Holiday Donation Drive that collected over 800 gifts for Valley children, seniors and families in need. The company set up Amazon Wish Lists to provide gifts to four local non-profit organizations - About Care, FANS Across America Charitable Foundation, Helen’s Hope Chest and New Pathways for Youth to help make the holiday season special for those in need within the community.

The nonprofit About Care delivers caring and compassionate support services to the homebound elderly and disabled residents of Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Chandler and Gilbert. FANS Across America Charitable Foundation is a Chandler nonprofit that provides items that are not covered by government assistance to students and families. Helen’s Hope Chest in Mesa works towards engaging the community to help foster families provide for the basic needs of children and teens in foster and kinship care. New Pathways for Youth in Phoenix provides support and personal development to young people through their holistic development program and 1:1 mentoring within the community.

Intel has been diligently working towards creating a better future for people in communities across Arizona. The microchip manufacturer and its employees continue to invest in education and economic initiatives, and partner with social programs for equity in science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

Intel and the Intel Foundation have made a total contribution of over $5.7 million to more than 700 Arizona teachers, schools and nonprofits since 2016. The company has constantly aimed at growing and developing the communities they operate in by setting the highest standard of goals and strategizing steps to achieve them.
