The Town of Queen Creek wants to remind its residents to handle Halloween trash and recycling properly this spooky season.
They're offering the following tips to make trash and recycling less scary:
- Candy wrappers cannot be recycled. Place them in the regular trash.
- The plastic bags Halloween candy is sold in cannot be recycled in your blue cart. Check with your local grocery store to see if they are currently accepting plastic bags for recycling.
- Halloween decorations, including pumpkins, should go in your trash cart for disposal.
