Lacrosse has become a very popular sport all over the East Valley and now girls are getting their chance to give it a try for free tomorrow in Queen Creek.
The free Introduction to Lacrosse Clinic will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 for girls kindergarten through eighth grade at Queen Creek Junior High School, 204 S. Old Ellsworth Road.
Register at www.vortexelitelax.com to meet the coaches and learn the basics of skills and play of lacrosse.
The summer lacrosse program for girls is April 26-June 16 on Field 19 at Bell Bank Park, home of Vortex. The program will improve dodging to goal with agility training, work on advanced shooting concepts, defensive footwork and game IQ, 3x3 Games-fast paced and fun.
Looking for a new sport to try? The summer lacrosse programs for girls are:
- Kindergarten through second grade, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m.
- Youth and middle school, grades third through eighth, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
- High school Elite Team tryouts start May 17 and will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
