Throughout the month of October, Queen Creek residents will be randomly selected to complete a citizen survey.
There will be two methods to participate, over the phone or online. Online participation will be prompted with a mailer containing a unique access code. Phone participation will be prompted with calls to both land lines and cell phones. Calls will be made during the daytime, in the evening and on the weekend in an effort to reach residents at convenient times.
The Town has contracted with the firm WestGroup Research in Phoenix to conduct the surveys. The survey, which will take approximately 15 minutes, includes questions about Town services, programs, customer service and communication. It will also include demographic questions such as age, gender, income level and ZIP code.
Participants will not be asked to provide their name, address, social security number or bank information. Officials say that all responses will remain confidential and information will not be used for any other purpose or shared with other agencies.
The survey can be completed in Spanish, if needed.
“The feedback provided by our residents through the citizen survey helps the Council make informed decisions,” shared Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney. “We encourage residents to take the time to participate so we can have a continued understanding of community priorities.”
To ensure an accurate sample is obtained that statistically represents the population of Queen Creek, 400 surveys will be completed. The survey information will be analyzed, and WestGroup Research will present the findings at a future Town Council meeting.
