Chandler resident Kelly Cooper has announced a bid for Congress in Arizona’s District 4 against incumbent and former Phoenix mayor, Greg Stanton.
Cooper is known for his success with the Melting Pot and BKD's Backyard Joint. His campaign is identifying him as a dedicated husband, father, Christian Constitutional Conservative, longtime Arizona resident who believes in the opportunities, freedoms and values of the community.
“As a business leader and entrepreneur, I’ve seen firsthand how inflation and supply chain issues are plaguing our economy and destroying the American dream,” said Cooper. “Americans deserve better and need strong leaders that will fight for the principles that our great nation was founded on and I am honored to have the opportunity to help change the course of history and turn this country around.”
Cooper's campaign stated: "Successfully operating businesses through the pandemic allowed Cooper to understand the struggles felt by American citizens and the opportunities for improvement in the government. He has hired and managed thousands of employees since his first restaurant opened in 1999, has written 100 paychecks every two weeks for more than a decade, managed $5 million operational budgets, served as the chairman of Melting Pot national brands, and true to his values donates to local charities every month from each restaurant and was committed to passing out toilet paper during COVID lockdowns. He is committed to keeping the American dream alive and will fight to stop inflation and stabilize the economy to create a better future for the nation’s children. Understanding his constituents, the Cooper campaign will bring the honor of a dedicated Marine and experience of a true businessman to Washington."
The Cooper campaign aims to fight for policy issues including election integrity, the economy and inflation, border control and immigration, education, veterans affairs, government overreach and protecting states rights, the second amendment, pro-life protection and supporting the police.
