Beverly Nichols, principal and athletics director at Queen Creek Junior High School (QCJHS), recently won the 2021 Arizona Athletics Director of the Year for Middle School.

"This school year marks my 19th year in the Queen Creek Unified School District. I have served as an assistant principal and athletics director at QCJHS for the past eight years and I am excited to continue my journey as the principal," she said on the school's website. "Prior to becoming the assistant principal, I started at the elementary level where I taught various grade levels at Jack Barnes Elementary. "Queen Creek Junior High School has a rich tradition of academic and extracurricular success. We believe our continued success is a positive, collaborative culture comprised of students, staff and our supportive community," Nichols continued. "You are encouraged and welcomed to be involved in any way that fits your schedule, whether it is being part of our PTSO, site team, volunteering for school-wide events, or simply providing a quiet place at home for completing homework. We value your involvement in your child’s education ... Our core values are: Be Kind, Be Respectful, Show Integrity."
