Queen Creek Firefighters Association IAFF Local 2260 has announced the promotion of Queen Creek Fire and Medical Firefighter Adam Schoenfeld to the position of captain.
"We look forward to see what he does with his new position and in the department," the firefighters association posted on Facebook.
Captain Schoenfeld said he "is extremely excited, grateful and honored" to move into this new role within the fire department. He has been a part of the Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department for five years.
The Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department officially began to provide emergency services to residents on Jan. 1, 2008.
