Rodolfo “Rudy” Thomas passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 75, in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Born on February 19, 1949, in Highland Park, Michigan, Rudy embarked on a life marked by dedication to his community and country.

Rudy proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, a testament to his bravery and commitment to national service. After his military service, he continued his education, earning a Bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and a Master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University. His pursuit of knowledge laid a robust foundation for his distinguished career.

Professionally, Rudy was a respected figure in law enforcement, retiring from the Detroit Police Department as a Deputy Chief of Police. He later served as the Executive Director of the Arizona Funeral Board, where he made significant contributions to the industry.

Beyond his professional and military service, Rudy was a faithful member of the Central Christian Church. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, providing him with guidance and strength.

Rudy also had a passion for tennis, playing regularly and enjoying the sport immensely. His hobbies provided him with joy and relaxation, and he was known on the courts for his competitive spirit and camaraderie.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Anna Rodriguez, his daughter, Kim, and his sister, Consuelo, stepson Matthew along with a host of other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Consuelo Thomas, sister, Yolanda and his, daughter Leah.
