Loretta Facinelli passed away on November 22, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 87.  She leaves behind Irish her cat; two sons – Stan and Steve; one brother – Gary; a grandson – Adam; a nephew – Ben; a grand-niece – Tessa; and all of her friends at Citrus Gardens and beyond.

Loretta worked as a Registered Nurse specializing in Psychiatric Nursing and worked at the Arizona State Mental Hospital, Scottsdale Camelback, and several of the Banner Behavioral Health facilities before moving to Mesa to retire.

She was an avid reader, a lover of movies, and traveled the United States from coast to coast and to many places around the world. She travelled through the Panama Canal, walked in Tiananmen Square, tilted her head as she looked upon the Bell tower of Pisa Cathedral, strained her neck to see the top of the Eiffel Tower, and witnessed the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.  On Tuesday, a couple days before Thanksgiving, she left on the best trip of her life, but this time she left all of her baggage behind.

A visitation will be held on Monday December 5, 2022 at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery beginning at 8:30am.  This will be followed by a Dove release at 9:30am, and then a memorial service at 10:00am to be held at All Saints Catholic Church a few miles away on north Recker Road in Mesa. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
