Christa Lynn Whitney, 76, of Gold Canyon, AZ passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Mesa, AZ. Mrs. Whitney, was a retired veterinary technician.
Christa was born in Dixon, Illinois, to parents Richard L. Holby and Gwendolyn Holby. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and is survived by her loving husband, Edward Phillip Whitney.
She leaves behind her daughter, Rebecca Ann Plass (Kris); her sons, Mark Richard Whitney (Erika) and William Edward Whitney. Christa was a beloved grandmother to Alyssa M. Whitney, Greyson E. Plass, Lauren E. Whitney, and Kaitlyn R. Whitney.
She is also survived by her sisters Darlene Manning, and Tina Staat and her brothers, John Curtis Holby and Todd Stanich. She is preceded in death by her late sister Jan Eileen Holby.
