September 8, 1941 – January 18, 2022
Ann Marie Babbitt, 80, of Miami, Oklahoma, passed away on January 18, 2022 in San Tan Valley, Arizona. She was born in Commerce, Oklahoma, on September 8, 1941, to Roy and Laveta Kelly. During Ann’s working years she was a Department Manager at Wal Mart.
She was the mother of one daughter and three sons, Janet Marie Babbitt (deceased), William Ray Babbitt, Roy Michael Babbitt, and Bryan Russell Babbitt, and the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren; Brandon (deceased), William, Kevin, Joshua, Stephen, Zachary, and Ashley.
Ann lived in Arizona for over 50 years. She also lived in Oklahoma, Florida, and Virginia. She enjoyed crocheting, walking, and watching movies. She also enjoyed singing and was a member of Sweet Adalines, an all-female chorus group founded in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for several years. Ann loved dogs, bunnies, butterflies, and birdhouses. She was thoughtful, kind, and funny. Many people described her as a “pistol” and a “hoot” because she did not have any problem saying what she thought. Her candor and sense of humor will be greatly missed, and memories of her will always bring a smile.
