On Aug. 28, 2023, Queen Creek High School Bulldog baseball alum Kody Funderburk made his Major League Baseball debut, pitching two scoreless innings for the Minnesota Twins.
Funderburk earned his first win after pitching two perfect innings in relief of Kenta Maeda in a 10–6 home victory over the Cleveland Guardians.
