Military Moms in Queen Creek, San Tan Valley support ASU with military spouses study

The study consists of completing an anonymous online survey that will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. There will be an option to enter a drawing for one of five $25 Amazon or Starbucks gift cards. Participation is voluntary. Those who choose to participate have the right to not answer any question and to stop participating at any time. To protect privacy, study data will be accessible only to study team members.

Military Moms in Queen Creek and San Tan Valley is supporting and assisting Lori Burmeister, M.S., a doctoral student at Arizona State University.

Burmeister is writing a disertation for the Counseling Psychology program. She is conducting a study about U.S. active duty military spouses' perceptions of health concerns and mental health treatment, under the direction of Dr. Nicole Roberts. 

The study consists of completing an anonymous online survey that will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. There will be an option to enter a drawing for one of five $25 Amazon or Starbucks gift cards. Participation is voluntary. Those who choose to participate have the right to not answer any question and to stop participating at any time. To protect privacy, study data will be accessible only to study team members.

"Researchers at Arizona State University are conducting a study among military spouses to understand issues pertaining to mental health in a military environment," explained Burmeister. "We are looking for married people 18 years or older whose spouse is currently active duty military. This research involves filling out an online questionnaire that takes about 30 to 40 minutes. At the end you have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win one of five $25 Amazon.com or Starbucks gift cards. Your participation in this study is voluntary and you can withdraw at any time. Your responses are anonymous and will be kept confidential."
