In addition, A.T. Still University of Health Sciences names regional presidents for Arizona/California and Missouri locations. The university’s Arizona campus is located in Mesa, at 5850 E. Still Circle.

A.T. Still University of Health Sciences (ATSU) will update its organizational structure, positioning the local university for continued growth to meet healthcare needs at all its locations, including here in Arizona.

Effective July 1, ATSU President Craig M. Phelps, DO, ’84, will have his role updated to chancellor, overseeing the entire ATSU system, including four locations, seven schools/colleges, and more than 40 degree and certificate programs. The university’s Arizona campus is located in Mesa, at 5850 E. Still Circle.

Two regional presidents, one serving Arizona and California locations, and one serving Missouri locations, will also be installed. O.T. Wendel, PhD, presently senior vice president for university planning and strategic initiatives, will become president of ATSU’s Arizona and California locations. Gaylah Sublette, MBA, presently vice president of research and sponsored programs, has been named interim president of ATSU’s Missouri locations.

“ATSU has grown into a successful, financially sound and vibrant system of colleges, schools, programs and campuses. Our Board of Trustees is committed to developing a system organizational structure that reflects ATSU’s regional locations and sets a solid foundation for future leadership,” Phelps said. “Providing regional leadership on campuses will expedite decision making; increase advocacy; improve services to students, faculty, staff and patients; support additional philanthropy opportunities; and expand participation in community events and service organizations.”
