The Town of Queen Creek has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a full service steak restaurant at Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre (HPEC). Successful applicants will have the opportunity to lease land for a two-story family friendly steak restaurant and possible retail. Submittals are due by Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025 at 3 p.m.
The intent of a two-story restaurant is to provide a viewing area into the main competition arena at HPEC allowing patrons to enjoy the events that may be taking place. The restaurant will be available to HPEC attendees as well as open to the general public. HPEC is a municipally owned 38-acre facility that hosts a variety of equestrian (of both the English and Western persuasion), as well as non-equestrian events such as vendor fairs, concerts, and monster truck events. The park is home to a number of prestigious organizations and events, drawing more than 215,000 visitors last year.
A pre-proposal conference and site visit for the RFP will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at HPEC, 20464 E. Riggs Road, Queen Creek. The question deadline is Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025 at 5 p.m.
HPEC opened in January 2009, embracing the Town’s equestrian and agricultural heritage. Over the past 15 years, HPEC has continued to grow, enhancing the experience for competitors and visitors. Within 5 miles of the site offered, there are more than 150,000 people, and within 10 miles of the site, there are nearly 468,000 people.
