Praise in the Park happens on Saturday, Oct. 5.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Founder's Park in Queen Creek, the inaugural Praise in the Park event will take place where "food, family, fun, faith and fitness all come together for a great cause."

The event is hosted by Nancy's Closet in affiliation with Marketplace Matters. The event will include:

  • A live DJ.
  • On-site fitness classes, instructed by certified trainers (choreographed to positive, uplifting music) for the whole family.
  • Wellness education mini-workshops.
  • Yoga classes and breathing exercises.
  • A kid zone and bounce house.
  • Face painters and balloon artists.
  • Yard games and prizes.
  • Local community resources and support.
  • Food vendors.
  • Shaded seating and picnic benches.
  • An auction and prize giveaways.
  • Faith-based and nonprofit organizations.

"Our local community events are our way of letting folks know that we’re here for them," said event founder Nancy Haggerty.

"We'll see you and your families, along with your picnic baskets and blankets, at our beloved Founder’s Park in the heart of Queen Creek where you’re sure to have loads of fun and make great family memories and connections along the way."

There is no entry fee for the event and all proceeds go toward the local nonprofit community and Nancy's Closet, Haggerty said.
