San Tan Valley horse facility to offer summer camp for children

Participants will be involved in a variety of activities, including daily riding, horseback games, arts and crafts, horse handling and more.

Allee Acres, located at 3002 Sherry Lane in San Tan Valley, will be offering a horsemanship camp for children 6 and older this summer, June 19-22. 

The four-day camp will offer daily riding, along with important skills such as horse handling, equine behavior, trail obstacles and more. Children will also participate in arts and crafts, horseback games and they'll learn about horse behavior. 

The camp costs $400 for all four days or $125 per day. Registration is due by June 9. 

In addition to the summer camp, Allee Acres also offers full-service horse boarding for $420 a month. The boarding includes daily stall cleaning, feeding twice a day with grains and supplements provided by the owner, fly spray and fly gear application and more.

Additional services including parasite prevention, medication administration, scheduling of veterinarian and other services, equine kinesiology taping and more is also available for an additional fee. Owners have access to a lighted arena, round pen, tack room, cross ties and wash rack that is included with the monthly full-service boarding fee.
