How to properly recycle cardboard boxes:
- Step 1: Empty cardboard boxes. Plastic air pillows, peanuts, bubble wrap and Styrofoam cannot be recycled in your blue cart.
- Step 2: Flatten your cardboard boxes. Cut oversized boxes into smaller sections that will fit in your recycle cart.
- Step 3: Make sure you can shut your lid on your recycle cart. Take additional boxes that don't fit in your blue cart to the QC Recycle Center at Crewse Lane and Ellsworth Road.
Did you know Polystyrene (ex. Styrofoam) cannot be recycled in your blue cart? Consider reusing when shipping packages or try alternative solutions such as old clothing, magazines, junk mail or wrapping paper to pad your packaging. Visit QueenCreekAZ.gov/Recycle to learn more.
