Improving transportation remains a top priority in the Town of Queen Creek. Over the past 10 years, the Town Council has invested more than $200 million in roadway and transportation improvements, based on the 2016 Transportation Master Plan.

The Town is in the process of updating the long-term planning document and residents are encouraged to complete the master plan update survey. The master plan looks at the next 25 years, allowing the Town to assess growth trends, forecast future transportation needs, and develop strategies that support projected land use, population growth, and economic development.

The projects identified in the 2016 Transportation Master Plan are more than 80% complete or in process, with projects like widening Rittenhouse to two lanes in each direction, widening Ellsworth Road to three lanes in each direction, extending Riggs Road to Rittenhouse and extending Signal Butte and Meridian to connect to the State Route 24.

The Transportation Master Plan update survey will be open through Dec. 18. Responses will be used to prioritize projects and prepare the 10-year transportation plan for the Town of Queen Creek.
