Queen Creek Recycle Center easy, convenient for many

Many residents seem happy with the Queen Creek Recycle Center and find it easy and convenient to use, while knowing that they're properly recycling their household items.

"I'll save a bunch of my Amazon boxes and bring them by here at least once a month," said Janesse Wood, a 12-year resident of Queen Creek. "It's a wonderful facility because I know I can get my recyclables into one place, but more importantly the right place."

As nearby towns like Gilbert have eliminated many recyclable items for its residents, many on the Go Gilbert Facebook group are now recommending the Queen Creek Recycle Center as an option for recycling primarily glass, which no longer is accepted in Gilbert.

The Queen Creek Recycle Center is conveniently located at Crewse Lane and Ellsworth Road in the Town Center (across from Founders' Park Splash Pad, just south of Town Hall). The Queen Creek Recycle Center is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Acceptable items are: plastic bottles and containers, milk or juice cartons, aluminum or metal cans, paper and corrugated cardboard, glass bottles and jars.

  • Remember to break down all your boxes and remove any packaging materials (Styrofoam, packing peanuts, plastic bags) as they are not recyclable.
  • Do not bag recyclables, toss recyclables directly into the container.
  • For the safety of staff and residents, items cannot be left outside the bins. Find an open bin and place recyclables directly into the bin.
