Auditions for Roger and Hammerstein’s "Cinderella" at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center begin on Nov. 29.
The auditions will be on Monday, Nov. 29 and Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Callbacks will be on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 2.
Please read through all the requirements to help you prepare for your audition.
Ages:
15 and older (must be 15 years old by the first rehearsal).
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals will be on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. will be added in mid January.
All tech rehearsals, dress rehearsals and performances are mandatory. No absences are allowed two weeks prior to the show. All scheduling conflicts should be listed on your audition form. Queen Creek Performing Arts Center will allow no more than three absences/conflicts per cast member.
Show Dates:
Friday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.
Fees:
There is a cast fee of $50 per cast member and $35 for each additional family member. The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center offers a reduced volunteer fee for anyone who would like to volunteer their time.
All cast members are responsible to provide underdressing, hosiery, footwear and makeup decided by costumer. Additional costume pieces may also need to be provided.
Cast T-shirts are optional and will be available for purchase.
Audition Requirements:
- Please check-in 10 minutes before your scheduled audition time. Audition forms and waivers may be downloaded from our website. Please fill these out ahead of time if you are able.
- Please prepare 16 bars (30 seconds) of a musical theater song. Please have the music downloaded to your device. A karaoke track with no background or guide vocals work best. Please do not sing acapella.(No accompaniment, cd’s or thumbdrives available.)
- You will learn a dance combination before the audition. Please keep this in mind when picking out your outfit and footwear.
Callbacks:
Callbacks will be on Thursday, Dec. 2 in the evening. You will not receive an actual phone call. The callback list will be posted on the website. You will also receive an email.
